Jawahar Kala Kendra is a multi art and cultural centre, in Jaipur, designed by master architect Mr. Charles Correa, is an outstanding example of conceiving and creating a space which drives and inspires its purpose and functioning, purely through spatial design.

My favourite is its central open to sky, stepped courtyard, where I can spend hours, just letting the time pass by.

Its bold red sandstone facades with corbelled corners adorned by minimalistic traditional icons – inlaid in white marble, strategic punctures connecting it to the adjoining courts, green lawns and the constant interplay of light and shadows are a treat to the soul!
